- We try to start feeding the people at 11:30a.m., so please bring food by 11:00a.m. in order to begin on time.
- Please wash hands or use hand sanitizer provided before serving.
- If handling food directly with hands, please wear gloves provided.
- Please serve the people in the order that they come through the line.
- If food falls on the ground, do not pick it up to serve. Throw it to the birds or in the trash.
- Bring behavior problems to the attention of Brother Abdul-Jami.
- Volunteers must not eat food while serving. All volunteers will eat after everyone in line is served.
- No profanity.
- Always speak with kindness.Â
- Serving sizes are as follows:Â One spoon of each serving (rice, salad, etc.)
- One spoon of each serving (rice, salad, etc.)
- One piece of meat
- One drink
- One piece of bread Â
- If you are a regular volunteer, please notify Brother Abdul-Jami if you are unable to attend at least 2 days prior by phone at 404-822-0726.Â
How to address a person in line who is misbehaving?  Call it to the attention of Brother Abdul-Jami and then he will kindly take them aside and calm them down. If they continue to agrue, Ignore it. Do not speak anymore words to the person. If physical violence breaks out, then a volunteer should dial 911.   How to address a volunteer who is misbehaving?
Any volunteer present (male or female) who witnesses this should stop it immediately with kind, but firm words and address it further with volunteer after the program finishes. Also, a volunteer should apologize to the one offended. If volunteer is a habitual violator (more than 2 times) then he or she will be asked not to return.  May Allah (swt) bless you and your family for all of your efforts. You are greatly appreciated and we hope to see you with us again, insha Allah. | | |
